At this point I realized I'm getting old because I actually care about what I'm drinking. Long gone are the careless nights of chugging whatever is in front of me.
This was the beginning of a struggle to crack the codes of finding wine my girlfriend and I could enjoy. We started by experimenting with as many different wines as we could but the biggest challenge proved to be the consistency of our choices. It’s really awesome to find a wine we can both enjoy but comparing the aspects we enjoyed outside of the winery, wine type, and year to find others we would love seemed near impossible.
Our wine selection became random because of our head first approach to the wine world. Neither of us had a proper introduction into the ways of true wine lovers so we have no concrete values to measure our experiences with each wine. I began to seek out some aid in understanding everything involved with selecting and pairing wine. I stumbled across a really great graphic published by Wine Investment on Visual.ly and I wish I had this level of guidance when we first started.
You no longer have to drink the same wine every night.
